Jacob and I spent the long Easter weekend with Jacob's family at Topsail Island. We enjoyed having no schedule for 4 days, even though the weather wasn't always the best. We ate some delicious things - my Mother in law is a great cook! Here are a few snapshots from our time away.
The view out the front of Jacob and I's penthouse suite.
Sunset off the back deck.
The sound.
A little stroll in Surf City (new hair cut for me!)
Lots of puppy cuddles.
Croissant sandwiches for breakfast.
Post-run strawberry and sharp cheddar salad along side some raw green beans.
Breading some flounder for frying on seafood night!
Boiled shrimp. Yum.
Crucial items to go along with the seafood selection.
One of many delicious spreads from the weekend.
Of course the day we had to leave was the prettiest - why does that ALWAYS happen?
And last but not least, we got a fly-by from a special someone (darn that piece of sand on my lense)!
It was a wonderful and relaxing few days. We're back in the mountains now, but at least there is no snow on the ground! The weather man says we're going to get sun and mid-60's this weekend! Stay tuned for some fun new recipes later this week!
